I can still remember reading this book to my little brothers when they were little. Having grown up on a cattle ranch, they thought it was hilarious. Just imaging that cows could type and make demands to the farmer, brought on fits of giggles. Now I get to read it to Lydia and she loves it! Its one of those books that is great for all ages! We had fun making all the cow and duck activities and hope you love them too!
Activity #1- Cow Mask
We are big fan of paper plate crafts at our house. And this one was pretty darn easy! All you need is a paper plate, a Sharpie, and construction paper. It was so hard to get Lydia to stand still long enough to take a picture, she thought it was hilarious to run around mooing.
Activity #2-Book Mark
Lydia isn't reading chapter books quite yet, but I still thought this was a fun craft. And would make a great gift for an older brother or sister or a parent. All you need is a popsicle stick and paint!
Puppets are always fun, and I thought the cow eating the grass was extra fun. We just used construction paper and wiggly eyes to create this little guy. Lydia kept giving it big kisses and showing us how it moo's.
I am a sucker for a good coloring page, so I thought this would be perfect and easy. Just follow this link to print.
