Brown Bear has always been a favorite of ours. Before my little Gus came along I would read this to my Niece Madi. She loved it and always wanted to read it over and over again, so naturally this was one of the very first books we bought Gus. The rhyming and fun colors makes this the perfect book for a toddler. This weeks activities pair perfectly with this darling book.

Activity #1...Animal Puppets
I found the perfect Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See free printable on Gymboree.com. With 5 puppet options, the whole family can get involved. I just attached a popsicle stick to each animal and they turned right into cute little Brown Bear puppets. We used the puppets to help Gus learn his animal noises.
Activity #2...Bear Treat
If you are anything like me I would imagine peanut butter is a staple for your child's snack time. I loved this "Brown Bear" version of peanut butter toast. I just used bananas and chocolate chips to create the bear's face.
Activity #3...Duck Finger Puppet
Gus thought that this duck finger puppet was the best. His little giggles made this one of my favorite activities this week! Find instructions here.
Activity #4...Frog Mask
Gus is a huge fan of peek a boo so this frog mask was the perfect activity for him. He loved hiding behind the mask and scaring us! To create just cut a paper plate in half and paint it green. Add a couple of big frog eyes and glue on a popsicle stick, for the easiest frog mask ever!
