This hilarious picture book is sure to be a hit! We asked once on our Instagram what some of our followers favorite books were. Hailey Sweeten recommended Moo, Baa, La La La and as soon as we read it, it was a favorite. Lydi loves to make all the noises and its helped us learn all the animals sounds. This week we have some other activities to help teach your little ones all about animals!
Activity #1- Animal Flash Cards
This is just one way to help your toddler learn animals. We use these to learn each animal from pictures and work on animal noises. I just used these flash cards to print and then glued to cardstock and added popsicle sticks.
Activity #2- Animal Noise App
I dont know about any of you, but my child loves to play with my phone. And now that she knows how to open Netflix and start her cartoons, I've been on the search for fun apps she can play and actually learn something. I went to the app store and typed Animals Sounds into the search and there were so many free ones. We use Free Animal Sounds from PXL Apps and love it! There are farm animals, jungle animals and safari animals. They keep us very entertained.
Activity #3- Eat Animal Snacks
Lydia has eaten plenty of animal gummy snacks in her life. But this time we decided to make a snack plate with all the real snacks animals eat. We had bananas like monkeys and apples like a horse. She loves carrots and acting like a bunny. She wasn't so sure about the lettuce though.
Activity #4- Just Add the Wool
This activity was super fun for Lydi. I found the idea here on Pinterest, and just built on it. I searched sheep printable and found this one that was perfect for printing. Then I cut it out and traced it to the none sticky side of some press and seal. Then we just taped it to the window and Lydi got to add the wool (cotton balls).
