Easter is coming early this year! Which means it's time to feature some fun Easter books and activities. The Velveteen Rabbit is a classic that my husband insisted we get for Lydi when she was born. The toy rabbit that is made real through the love of a boy is sure to win over any child!
What You'll Need:
- Cotton Balls
- Paper Plate
- Popsicle Sticks
- Construction Paper
- Orange Paint
Activity #1- Coloring Page
This was a no-brainer activity for Lydia right now. She is really into coloring and all I had to do was print and give her some colored pencils and she was a happy girl.
Activitiy #2- R is For Rabbit
We had fun gluing cottons balls to the letter R to make it as soft as a rabbit. If you aren't brave enough to have a real life bunny, why not just make the next best thing.
Activity #3- Thumbprint Carrots
Sometime I get worried when I pull out the paint to use with a toddler but this activity was simple and easy and did not create a mess. I just put the orange paint on a plate and used Lydia's thumb to create the carrots. All it took was one wipe to clean up! That's a win in my book.
Activity #4- Bunny Mask
How cute is this little Bunny? All we did was cut out the center of a paper plate, used white paper to create the ears, and black strips of paper for the whiskers. Just add a popsicle stick for easy handling and it's a fun mask!
