Nothing is scarier than having a hurt kid. I had a hard time with it when Lydi got hurt, but she only has to have her cast on for four week's. Before we know it, she will be all better. That is why I chose the book All Better, its a fun book about how everyone gets hurt and how to make it all better. It comes with sticky bandaids that you can place on the different animals ouchies. This weeks activities are all about how to fix all the booboos.
What You'll Need:
- Construction Paper
- White Paint
- Band Aids
- Wiggly Eyes
Activity #1 X-Rays
Lydi had to have an x-ray on her leg, and she handled it like a champ. I have had so many experienced moms tell me that at some point in motherhood you are bound to take a child to get an x-ray. So how cute is this craft to teach little ones about how x-rays work.
Activity #2- My Ouch Story
I thought this was a great way to tell Lydi how she hurt her leg because I doubt she will remember much of it when she is older. She even got to color it!
Activity #3 Felt Band-Aids
All Better has awesome bandaids that you cover each animals booboos with. I thought having some felt bandaids would be fun too play with too. You can help fix all of the babies and stuffed animals booboos. Lydi got this giant bear for Christmas, and its the best $10 I've spent recently. She loves him so much!
Activity #4- Doctor Coloring Page
Doctors can be scary for babes, especially when they are hurt. So the more familiar they are with doctors and how they help us, the better. This was my favorite but there are a bunch of pages linked above.
Activity #5- Get-Well Cards
How cute are these little bandaid get well cards. All you need is different sizes of bandaids and wiggly eyes and you can make the cutest little cards!
