With Valentines Day in less than a week, we couldn't resist featuring a book all about love! I think we all can relate to this googly-eyed monster. I love how determined he is, just because he might be a little different from others doesn't mean he doesn't deserve great things. This book is a perfect reminder to not over think things. "You see sometimes when you least expect it...love finds you."
This Week's Featured Book:
Supplies for Activities:
- Empty toilet paper roll
- White paper plate
- Red paint
- Strawberries, blueberries and little cuties
- Kabob sticks
- Red tissue paper
- Paper bag
Activity #1...Love Monster Puppet
This slightly hairy and a bit googly-eyed puppet was a hit with Gus! I used tissue paper to make his red hair and just used construction paper to cut out his eyes, mouth and heart.
Activity #2...Valentine's Hat
Talk about a super easy and way fun valentines craft. Just grab a white paper plate, cut your heart out and paint it red or pink. I'm sure your little one will want to show this one off to everyone!
Activity #3...Heart Stamp
Anything that has to do with paint has Gus interested these days. Keep your next empty toilet paper roll because this heart stamp only requires some tape and a toilet paper roll. Now your little one can stamp their little heart out!
Activity #4...Cupid Kabob
This has to be my favorite (and cutest) treat I've ever made for Gus. Usually something this cute is filled with tons of sugar. This fruity snack is not only cute but also oh so good for your kiddos.
