Lydia has gotten such a fun personality lately! She will grab a book and start climbing into our laps so we will read to her. And this is probably my favorite book to read to her! I want her to know how smart, kind and unstoppable she is. This book tells her just that! All the activities this week are tailored for any super hero loving tot. Thanks so much for visiting and following along!
What you'll need:
- Construction Paper
- Popsicle Sticks
- Laundry basket
- Pretzal Sticks
- Grapes and Cheese
Activity #1... Super Hero Masks
This is a very simple way to make any little one an instant super hero! I just took some colored felt and cut out the stripes and then cut out eye holes. Then I just tied some yarn to the ends and it made it easy to tie on and take off. How cute is little Gus in his mask?!
Activity #2... Yarn Maze
We were going for a little Mission Impossible activity here. I just put some of Lydi's favorite toys at the bottom of a laundry basket and then made a maze from yarn so that it was a challenge to get the toys out. I made sure to put her most prized possession (her bink) in to get her interested. She had fun pulling them out and throwing them back in and watching them bounce to the bottom. It was a fun way to challenge her and it kept her entertained, which at her age, is a huge win!
Activity # 3... Coloring Pages
I found these fun coloring pages that are great for both gals and guys! Right now my little isn't so good at coloring between the lines and usually just starts slamming the crayons against the paper but its still fun to watch her get a little bit better every time.
Activity #4... Finger Food Bar Bells
Around our house we are always looking for new foods that Lydia will eat. She has turned into the pickiest of eaters. These little barbells were easy to make and she loved pulling the ends off to eat. I want my little super hero to keep growing big and strong! All we did was take pretzel sticks and add weights to the ends (grapes and cheese). Easy as that!
Activity #5... Super Hero Puppets
Looking for a fun but easy craft to do with your kiddo? These little superhero puppets are the perfect activity. Just start by taking construction paper and cutting them into 5 inch long triangles and them glue them onto popsicle. You can use the scraps to glue masks on and use markers to color faces and a super hero logo on the front! Its really that easy!
