Little Blue Truck never disappoints! This is a favorite of ours, and it sounds like we aren't the only ones who love this book. This week your little one will learn all about farm animals and the sounds they make. What a perfect book this time of year...hit up your local county fair to see some of these animals in person!
It doesn't matter how big or small your munchkin is, it's never too early to teach them about teamwork. This cute book does just that. "A lot depends on a helping hand from a few good friends!" We hope you have as much fun as we did with this darling book and the activities to go along with it!
What you will need:
- Blue Paint
- Clothes Pin
- Pom Pom
- Graham Crackers
- Egg Carton
- Yellow Paint
- Pipe Cleaner
- Toilet Paper Rolls
Activity #1...Farm Animal Flash Cards
These fun flash cards are an easy way to teach your little ones the sound each animal makes. You can have a ton of fun learning and really getting into making the noises. Next stop, the family farm and county fair to see some of these animals in person!
Activity #2...Dump Truck Egg Carton
Some of the best activities use those household items that you usually would throw out. This one is darling and a great visual for you and your little one to use to talk about Dump. It's a little harder to explain but super easy to make so here is the link to the blog where I found this fun idea. Tape their picture in the drivers seat and let them dump until their hearts content!
Activity #3...Traffic Light Graham Crackers
Talk about the easiest snack ever! The traffic light graham crackers are so yummy and fun. At our house Nutella makes everything better so of course these were a hit!
Activity #4...Paint The Little Blue Truck
Grab a clothespin, your blue paint and a pompom and you're set to let your little one paint their very own Little Blue Truck. Take it up a notch and when they are done glue their picture in the window. Bump! Bump! Bump! Now they're riding in The Little Blue Truck!
Activity #5...Farm Animal Bowling
For this activity I used the same printable as we used for activity #1, I just cut them out. Don't throw away those empty TP roles, they are going to become your little ones bowling pins! Your munchkin will role a ball and whatever pins they knock down you'll talk about what animal it is and what noise it makes. They will have so much fun and learn a little while they're at it!
