"All Aboard" If your little believer enjoys this book as much as we do, you will love this week's activities! I seriously could read it to Gus all day, every day. I love how it gives me the Christmas warm fuzzies! As Gus' obsession with trains grows these activities were spot on. We hope you enjoy. Merry Christmas!
This Week's Featured Book:
Supplies For Activities:
- White Paint
- Cotton balls
- Graham Cracker, M&M's, and Whipped Cream
- Cardboard Boxes
- Paper Plates
Activity #1...Polar Express Train Cars
When riding the actual Polar Express isn't an option, you make your own. We had so much fun with these train cars! I just wrapped a few boxes and painted paper plates for the wheels. This activity kept these guys busy for a while, they loved it!
Activity #2...Graham Cracker Train
This holiday treat is sure to be a hit with your little train lover. All you need is graham crackers, whipped cream and candy.
Activity #3...Q-tip Train Craft
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! To start this masterpiece just have your little one color the train (printable below picture) and then tape a picture of them in the window. Gus' favorite part of this was painting the snow with a Qtip and white paint. Last I just used cotton balls to make the snow on the ground. Chugga Chugga Chu Chu now your little cutie is driving the Polar Express.
Activity #4...Jingle Bells
My favorite part of the book is the bell, so of course we had to do a bell activity. For Lydia we made a bell necklace and for Gus I used a pipe cleaner to make a festive little noise maker.
Activity #5...Hot Cocoa Craft
Raise your hand if you're a fan of the mini marshmallows in your hot cocoa...I know I am! My little guy isn't quite old enough for hot cocoa so we decided to use white pom-poms to create a darling little hot cocoa craft.
